Goathland, a quiet village set in the heart of the North Yorkshire Moors, roughly half-way between Pickering and Whitby, is most famously known as the setting for TV's HEARTBEAT (Goathland is Aidensfield). It's station (Goathland is on the North York Moors Railway) provided the location for Hogsmead Station in the Harry Potter films, and has been seen many times in films and TV (including Brideshead Revisited and All Creatures Great and Small).
It also sports a huge sheep population!

Interesting and artistically inspiring views abound in all directions, from extensive moorland panoramas to the distinctive red-tiled cottages of Goathland village centre. The beautiful village of Beckhole is only 1 mile away, even closer is the impressive Mallyon Spout waterfall.
The Parish Hall, set within its own extensive grounds offers excellent facilities for workshop activities, and provides an ideal location for artists to relax and enjoy their craft. Ample free car-parking is available to all participants.
