Occupying a beautiful, central Lake District location, Grasmere Village Hall offers a spacious Workshop base with lots of natural light and ample private parking for participants. Ongoing refurbishments to the building have made the hall a pleasant space in which to paint.
Subjects incorporating stunning fell scenery (in particular, views across towards Helm Crag and Easedale from Butherlyp Howe) are reachable within a short walking distance (10 minutes approx. with a short incline - not suitable for wheelchair users or people with serious walking difficulties).

The Weekend workshops based here mainly concentrate on capturing the grandeur of the surrounding fellsides, and include sketching and painting along the banks of Easdale Beck when weather permits. If the Weather is bad, Grasmere Hall has a large canopy at the front of the building, under which painters have an excellent view of Silver Howe.
The famous Heaton Cooper Studio is just 5 minutes walk away should participants need inspiration from one of Lakelands finest exponents of watercolour.
