Thursday - Sea-day

It's been a slow, lazy sea-day today. Lots of people just relaxing on deck and looking out at the endless shimmering ocean. There are plenty of activities for people to get involved in - quoits, darts, cards, hoops, the gym, the cinema, and the bars are open today (hoorahh!!), so many are just sat reading with a glass of something in their hands, or an ice cream - the ice cream dispenser is fantastic and you can help yourself to it at any time, along with tea, coffee or a whole range of chilled fruits juices.

I had a bumper attendance at my workshop this afternoon - over twenty people!! Maybe word is spreading.

Also, I'm well chuffed today because Gill Savage, head honcho in the excursions office, caught up with me and asked if I was happy if they refunded my money and I donned a burgundy t-shirt for the Cairo-Pyramids trip when we get to Alexandria - Yesssss!!!! This is good news - I was just starting to worry that they may have overlooked me.

It's the second FORMAL evening tonight, so the dinner jacket and dickie-bow will be coming out again.

I have a couple of hours before then, and am going to spend it painting in my cabin - I want to tart-up and complete the exercises I've produced during the workshops and start painting up from a couple of sketches I made in Tripoli yesterday (the Tripolean Folk band are still generating much discussion today - they didn't get any better apparently).
