IGUANA DAY

Today, we’ve been at sea, and following a last-minute change of mind yesterday, I had them painting iguanas this afternoon. At lunchtime, a cocktail party ot on the back deck saw cocktails being sold at rock-bottom prices. It doesn’t take a genius to realise that after half a dozen cocktails, folks are generally up for anything… or want to sleep....

GUIYAQUIL, DAY TWO

Today, we enjoyed a second day in Guiyaquil. GUIYAQUIL, EQUADOR

Today, we arrived in Guiyaquil (pronounced ‘why-a-kill’). To get to the port requires sailing approximately 45 miles upriver from the ocean, along tree-lined waterways very reminiscent of sailing up the Amazon; the air above was teaming with massive frigate birds and vultures; it was hot and humid.
