The session today was on Perspective. There’s never a good time to deal with the subject, which is quite challenging to many people, so I like to get it out of the way relatively early on. Originally, I’d intended for us to paint Belem Tower in Lisbon, but our Lisbon visit got cancelled due to bad weather slowing us down, so it seemed a bit daft to do so under the circumstances. Instead, I chose my fall-back Perspective exercise, which consists of a few simple barns; the office were more than happy to print a load of notes off for me.<\/p>\n
Other than the classes, it’s been a quiet, easy-going day. Tracey and I spent the morning up on sheltered deck with our laptops (Tracey cataloguing all her moth photographs and myself working on online student stuff), enjoying the fresh air and drinking lots of tea. The sea is a little choppy and there’s a fair breeze up on the top, open deck, but the sun has been out and the temperature is definitely rising.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
Today, we were at sea, heading towards the Cape Verde Islands.
