{"id":176,"date":"2013-02-10T23:14:04","date_gmt":"2013-02-10T23:14:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.peterwoolley.co.uk\/blog\/?p=176"},"modified":"2014-11-24T20:44:55","modified_gmt":"2014-11-24T20:44:55","slug":"sunday-and-then-there-was-one","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.peterwoolley.co.uk\/blog\/sunday-and-then-there-was-one\/","title":{"rendered":"Sunday &#8211; And Then There Was One"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"itemHeader\">\n<p>I got a call on the cabin telephone at 1:38am this morning, asking me to confirm that Tracey had left the ship to return home, and to confirm that I understood that her on-board account is linked to mine&#8230;.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"itemContent\">\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Tahoma;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Tahoma;\">Yes; I confirmed all that (as it had all been confirmed at lunctime when we&#8217;d been to Reception to sort the paperwork out)&#8230;.. at twenty minutes to two in the morning???&#8230;&#8230;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Tahoma;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Tahoma;\">As if on cue, now that we&#8217;re on the final, home leg, the waters have turned slightly choppy, and the sick bag fairy has been out doing her rounds&#8230;. oh deep joy!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Tahoma;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Tahoma;\">By lunchtime, I still had no idea of what progress Tracey has made in getting back home, as I&#8217;ve had no signal on my mobile phone&#8230;.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Tahoma;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Tahoma;\">&#8230;. As I write this, it&#8217;s late Sunday evening, and I still have no mobile phone signal. To make matters much worse, despite being able to connect to the Ship&#8217;s network, there&#8217;s no internet access either&#8230;. so I still don&#8217;t know if Tracey got home okay.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Tahoma;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Tahoma;\">I&#8217;ve had two classes today, sold another painting and replaced it with a painting of a sloth.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Tahoma;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Tahoma;\">This evening, they did &#8216;Eurovision Song Contest&#8217; in the Marco Polo Lounge (guess who won&#8230;. UK &#8211; yeeeey!), and &#8216;The Weakest Link&#8217; in Scotts Bar. Until I can get a signal, though, to know that Tracey arrived home safely, I can&#8217;t really settle&#8230;. it&#8217;s all a bit frustrating, actually&#8230;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Tahoma;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Tahoma;\">Update&#8230;..<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Tahoma;\">Even late into the evening, I couldn&#8217;t get a signal on my phone, and the wi-fi wasn&#8217;t working. I did, though, finally manage to get to my emails via the PC in the entertainments office, despite it being excruciatingly slow. The good news is; Tracey is home&#8230;.
