AT SEA

Today has been another sea-day, and I’ve had folks painting a Buenos Aires city scene, in preparation for our visit tomorrow. It’s not just a session on painting buildings, however, the session concentrates on simplifying complex architecture, tackles some of the challenges we are likely to face with such a subject and offers possible solutions. In terms of difficulty, I would rate this as bordering on ‘difficult’, yet I always think its a good idea to push people a little, and get them to step out of their comfort zone once in a while. In general, the session went well, although Group One seemed to warm to it far more than Group Two.

After lunch (my classes were in the morning), I spent time in the cabin, online studenting, while Tracey stayed up at the front of the ship, on the lookout for wildlife. The sea has been super-smooth, brilliant for activity spotting, yet very little has actually been spotted (basking seals, apparently), which is a tad disappointing.

Unfortunately, Tracey managed to lose her hat in the wind, so I’ve now lost mine (temporarily, until we can get her a new one).
