At Sea Again
It’s been another day at sea. Today’s class was ‘Puddles’; a much simpler exercise than the Belem Tower session the other day. In many ways, it felt like an antidote to that perspective challenge, or a gift for persevering through it. Either way, everyone seemed to enjoy it; there’s nothing more satisfying than a room full of happy punters.
There are lots of other things for passengers to do while we are sea, of course. Tracey has been attending a creative writing course and mucking in with the other craft sessions. Jon the Cruise Director has been runnning a drama workshop and the choices don’t stop there… this afternoon there has been line dancing and there are two or three talks by guest lecturers every day. The weather has been getting steadily warmer and the wind has dropped, so many folks just choose to relax and read or grill themselves on the top deck. If the Marco Polo had a lid, it would be just like a giant George Forman lean Mean Grilling Machine.
We haven’t been watching many of the shows in the evening, preferring to relax in the Captains Club and read. We did go in to watch this entertainments team’s version of Cinderella, the Pantomime last night, though, which was as anarchically entertaining as it always is (oh no it wasn’t… oh yes it was…).
