AT SEA – AND THEN NOT…

Today was billed as a sea day, and it has been a relaxing one at that, with a particularly smooth sea and a handful of dolphin and turtle sightings to keep us entertained.

At his lunchtime address, the captain announced that, because we would be arriving at our next destination – Palermo – a little earlier than expected, an evening arrival had been negotiated (instead of anchoring offshore) meaning we would have an overnight stop in the port.

At first, we thought a trip ashore to experience Palermo at night would be rather fun. After some consideration, however, in light of our plans for a long walk tomorrow, we changed our mind and opted for a low-key evening on board.
