Friday – Leaving Corner Brook

Today, we left Corner Brook at about 10am after having stayed overnight. The rest of the day we’ve been cruising towards our final Canadian destination.

Not much else has happened. We’ve chugged along at a leisurely pace, and, finally, left the Lawrence River behind. This afternoon, I had classes (Line and Wash), which were well attended… that’s about it.

Everything has been ticking along very nicely, and the feeling that we’re into the final furlong is very tangible. Tomorrow, we are due to arrive at our last port-of-call in Canada before a four-day sprint across the Atlantic Ocean toward Ireland; it’s a half-day, and there are very few tours (and I’m not escorting any of them – which I’m rather pleased about because it’s a tender port, and escorts have ready for the tender by 7:15am). L’Anse aux Meadows has only a population of 30 inhabitants… question is; are they ready for us?….
