Heading East – Day One
We’re back at sea, and now heading in a North-Easterly direction, towards the Azores, where we expect to arrive in 5 days time. So far, it’s been a bit of a bumpy ride; it seems folks have got used to not having to deal with the movement of the ship. Tracey is definitely not liking the rocking of the ship at all; she gave up trying eventually and went back to bed. She did surface later, though, feeling much better, and able to help out with the classes (today, it was Creative Lighting, and Transformation of a scene; I had them painting a snowy sunset).
Tonight was a formal Night (which I hate). Fortunately for me, because Tracey is feeling a little under the weather, I didn’t have to go full formal. A suit and tie was sufficient.. yeeey!
After dinner we went to the Taverner’s pub, where we read and played Yahtzee. A little later on, the Karaoke started. My voice is still a little croaky, so I didn’t feel capable of partaking (which isn’t my normal state of affairs anyway… I don’t really do karaoke), but it was entertaining to watch others have a go. We left before it finished, but apparently, the Captain came into the pub and got up and sang. I asked the passenger who told me about it, what was it that he sang, and he said, that they were still trying to work that out (the Captain is Greek, and a very nice man, but he also has a very strong accent…).
