Wednesday – First Classes
Today, I ran 3 classes back to back. It was tiring, and intensive, and transitions from one class to another were hectic to say the least. It was ‘The Building Blocks of Watercolour’, where I introduce folks to the basic washes that make up all watercolour paintings and get them to create a simple landscape from a wet-in-wet wash and several ‘Transparent Wash’ layers.
With the first class staring at 1pm, it means I don’t get lunch, so I set the alarm to get up early and make sure I ate breakfast. It makes for a long afternoon, but it’s what I’m here for, and despite missing my accounts and admin department (Tracey), I think everyone was accounted for. By the time the last class had finished and everything was cleaned and put away, it was almost 6pm… almost dinner time.
Other than the occasional lurch, the sea has behaved itself today, meaning we’re currently on course to arrive in Lisbon on Friday, and then Madeira on Sunday. After that, things should start warming up, and I’ll have my partner in crime back on board with me.
I’ve just remembered – the clocks go back on hour tonight, putting us back in line with the UK.
I think I need an early night…..
