I will always remember my first encounter with High Cup Nick. Having spent the day crossing the moors from Upper Teesdale, while walking the Pennine Way long distance walk, the glacial valley suddenly opened out, and dropped dramatically away in front of me, in a totally unexpected, and spectacular fashion.
That section of the walk was also memorable for the wrong reasons; Having pulled a muscle earlier that day, I limped painfully all the way down into Dufton from High Cup and had to spend the whole of the next day in my tent recouperating as the noisy revelries of those attending the local annual horse fair in Appleby went on long into the night.
With lots of rocks and crags to get my teeth into - some of my favourite subjects - this view of the top end of the valley, located in the Pennines (only a days walk away from Cross Fell, the highest point on the Pennine Way) on the very edge of Cumbria, provided me with lots of details to immerse myself in.

SIGNED LIMITED EDITION PRINT
The Limited Edition Print is a giclee reproduction, using only inks of the highest quality, and printed on 310gsm acid-free German Etching paper.
