Today, we have been at sea, leaving French Guyana and the Amazon far behind, as we head towards the Caribbean leg of our voyage.

Last night, the clocks went back an hour, putting us currently four hours behind UK time. With the clocks going back, giving us an extra hour, I saw this as an ideal opportunity to not only get an early night, but get in an extra long night’s sleep in order to try and beat this cold once and for all.

Unfortunately, sod’s law meant I had a bad night. I woke up feeling grottier than ever, and feeling like I’d suffered a relapse. With my cough and cold still raging, I had to once again run classes. This time, it was the last of our special Amazon-themed sessions, where I had them painting an egret. By the time I reached the end of the second class I felt quite drained, and ready to crawl back into my pit and try and make up all the hours of sleep that I didn’t manage to accrue last night.
