One Week To Go
I’m making final preparations for my next voyage. In just under a week’s time (next Wednesday, to be precise), I’ll be joining the Marco Polo in London Tilbury once again, for a voyage somewhat different to what I’m used to. I’m used to jumpong on board a ship and heading towards warmer climes, where clothes get lighter and the sunglasses come out. On this occasion, we’ve had to purchase a set of thermal undies! We’re going to a place where, at this time of year, the sun rises at 8:30am abd sets at 1:30pm, and it’s probably going to be coooold!
If you’re new to my blog, I’d like to extend a welcome to you. I try to post an entry every day, but workshop commitments and flakey wi-fi often hinders that. The ship sails at 3:30pm on Wednesday the 15th; join me as we head for Copenhagen and Tallin, on our voyage towards St. Petersburg. After returning to London on the 27th, we’ll then be heading out again, towards the Norwegian fjords, and, hopefully, an encounter with the Northern Lights.
