Storm Katie… Should I be worried?…

We’ve just arrived at our overnight hotel, a stone’s throw from Gatwick airport, from where we are due to fly to Ecuador in the early hours of tomorrow morning.

As we drove around the M25, there were endless matrix signs warning of high winds tomorrow, and the latest weather reports are talking about the latest storm-with-a-name, Katie, hitting the whole of the South-East of England… wait for it… in the early hours of tomorrow morning.

Fingers are all duly crossed that this isn’t going to effect us (after all; what’s the worst can happen?).

Either way, it’s going to be a long day tomorrow, with approximately 9 hours of flying time. I’m thinking that’s roughly 3 in-flight movies, a few chapters of the novel I’m currently reading and a handful of games of Spider Solitaire…
