Confinement: Day Two

This is today’s view from the balcony. Sadly, it’s all we’re going to see of Split, in Croatia, on this journey; as with yesterday’s port, the ship is berthed on its port side – our cabin is on the starboard side, and we have one more day of confinement before we’ll be allowed to roam freely.
There’s been an upgrade in our allowed food intake; yesterday, we were only allowed to consume dry toast (no butter), and not a lot else. Today we were offered steamed fish and potatoes, with a few vegetables, for lunch… it’ll be the same again for dinner later, but with chicken instead of fish. Yey!
The good news is, we’re both feeling much better and looking forward to getting back out into the wide world. Sleep is the great healer, in my opinion, but you can only have so much of a good thing. We’ve been told we’ll have to wait for a call from the medical centre at 8am in the morning to be cleared for takeoff… bring it on…
