Cruising The River
Today, we’ve been cruising the Amazon River, heading downstream, back towards Macapa Pilot Station and the open sea.
To get to Icouraci, for Belem, our final Brazilian port-of-call, we have to sail out from the mouth of the river, into the Atlantic, then head South, to the Southern leg of the river, South of the great island that is larger than Switzerland, and then back into the tributary, and Icouraci.
I was quite surprised to discover that I was down for classes today, so it has essentially been treated as a sea-day.
This afternoon, I had them painting an iguana.
We haven’t been watching any of the shows, mostly because we’ve seen them all before, many times. This evening, however, we went into the show because it was described as a ‘premiere’….
