Let’s try again…

In just over two week’s time – on the 19th of March – I’ll be joining Saga’s Spirit of Adventure, to run on-board watercolour painting workshops as it sails to Norway.
I’ve titled this ‘Let’s try again‘ because my previous cruise assignment, for various reasons beyond my control, sadly didn’t happen. Fortunately, such occurrences are rare, but it can be slightly unnerving to have something that you’ve planned for pulled out from under your feet at the last minute. Needless to say, all fingers and toes are well and truly crossed for what we hope to be a fantastic voyage into the Arctic Circle.
It’s been a while since we visited Norway (I just checked; it was October 2017, on the Magellan). I remember we didn’t manage to see much of the Northern Lights on that occasion, but I know all the stops will be pulled out to increase the chances of seeing them this time around, with an extended overnight stay in Alta and several iconic ports along the way (Saga also provide all their guests with their very own Arctic jacket).
It’s also an opportunity to get passengers painting the Aurora Borealis in watercolour… Again, it’s been a while, but I’m sure it’ll be just like riding a bike…
