The Eve of a New Adventure

I am in the throws of double-checking that I’ve packed everything I need for the Arctic Circle. One thing is for sure; it’ll be cold, and probably snowy (so, that’ll be thermals, then). The last time we travelled to Norway in search of the Northern Lights, we failed to reach our Northernmost destination, North Cape, on account of the weather (we did see the lights, though). Fingers crossed for second-time lucky.

Tracey and I will be heading for London Tilbury tomorrow, where we expect to board MV Magellan sometime mid-afternoon. Our first destination will be Amsterdam, where we should arrive on Tuesday morning, before setting sail towards Olden.

I’m looking forward to fjord-hopping and seeing the snow-capped mountains again… Bring it on…
