Sunday – And Then There Was One

I got a call on the cabin telephone at 1:38am this morning, asking me to confirm that Tracey had left the ship to return home, and to confirm that I understood that her on-board account is linked to mine….

Yes; I confirmed all that (as it had all been confirmed at lunctime when we’d been to Reception to sort the paperwork out)….. at twenty minutes to two in the morning???……

As if on cue, now that we’re on the final, home leg, the waters have turned slightly choppy, and the sick bag fairy has been out doing her rounds…. oh deep joy!

By lunchtime, I still had no idea of what progress Tracey has made in getting back home, as I’ve had no signal on my mobile phone….

…. As I write this, it’s late Sunday evening, and I still have no mobile phone signal. To make matters much worse, despite being able to connect to the Ship’s network, there’s no internet access either…. so I still don’t know if Tracey got home okay.

I’ve had two classes today, sold another painting and replaced it with a painting of a sloth.

This evening, they did ‘Eurovision Song Contest’ in the Marco Polo Lounge (guess who won…. UK – yeeeey!), and ‘The Weakest Link’ in Scotts Bar. Until I can get a signal, though, to know that Tracey arrived home safely, I can’t really settle…. it’s all a bit frustrating, actually…

Update…..

Even late into the evening, I couldn’t get a signal on my phone, and the wi-fi wasn’t working. I did, though, finally manage to get to my emails via the PC in the entertainments office, despite it being excruciatingly slow. The good news is; Tracey is home…. I can sleep now……
